Holbox

Holbox is a hippy-chic, 26 mile long Island, just 40 miles North of Cancun that is quickly catching the attention of trendsetter travelers from around the world.

Lying at the tip of the Yucatán peninsula, in the state of Quintana Roo, where the Gulf of Mexico meets the Caribbean, the island is surrounded by turquoise blue waters and powder white beaches.

A grid of narrow sandy streets connect the whole island, from the ferry pier, to the beach, to the bustling town square. There is only a couple of ATMs, no paved roads, basically no cars, so all you see is bathing suit clad tourists and locals, walking, on bikes or on yellow golf carts that function as the island’s taxi crew.
